Set between the Hida River and Japanese Alps, Suimeikan offers spacious rooms with a cedar-wood bathtub and mountain views. It has a Japanese tearoom, 9 hot-spring baths and a pool.
The elegant rooms at Suimeikan Hotel offer either Western furnishings with hardwood floors or Japanese tatami (woven-straw) floors and traditional futon bedding. All include a flat-screen TV.
Guests can relax by the koi pond; Karaoke and a Noh theatre offer tastes of new and old Japan. The indoor pool has a large sunroof, and the large public hot-spring baths have beautiful views.
Just 300 metres from JR Gero Train Station, the hotel is a 15-minute walk from Onsen-ji Temple. Gero Onsen Gassho Village is a 5-minute taxi ride away.
